A spring of fury has gripped the US A curfew was established in more than 25 cities. After George Floyd’s death, images like those of a historic church on fire in front of the White House or the Army patrolling Santa Monica went viral. At least one person died in Louisville, and two others, in Los Angeles and New York, were shot. It is the longest and most intense wave of protests in this country since the assassination of Martin Luther King in 1968.
There have been more than 5,000 detainees and a long list of looting, fires and skirmishes, with multiple injuries. The 1992 riots in Los Angeles were more violent, when more than 60 people died, but did not spread to the rest of the country. There were also demonstrations of racial violence in 2014 in Ferguson, Missouri, and in 2015 in Baltimore, Maryland, but never throughout the United States, for so many days.
This crisis is unleashed in full frustration given the forced quarantines – imposed through the state monopoly on violence – with the excuse of stopping the coronavirus and after the atrocious murder of George Floyd. I hope someday we will learn that violence only destroys, as science has conclusively established.
Thus, they opened the gates of hell. These quarantines have achieved unemployment that already reaches the incredible number of 40 million people, many of them alienated and marginalized, an excellent breeding ground for violence. To which was added the murder of Floyd who, although it is not clear that it was racism since it is not known that the policeman has commented on the color of his skin, was clearly abuse of authority.
But the fault is not only of the States. «How Floyd’s death made the coronavirus disappear,» Vanessa Vallejo wrote, adding that some media «From one day to the next went from saying that we are all going to die and that we should never go out on the streets again, to encourage protests and crowds… months filling people with fear and saying that you have to stop the economy because “life first”, and suddenly… we don’t see the media calling attention to the danger of being in a crowd ”.
And there are journalists who, out of fear or for business, lie, promoting enormous harm to millions of people. For example, Juanita Viale, who replaces Mirta Legrand in her traditional show on Argentine TV, always encouraged the mandatory quarantine, but behold, among her guests, there was a personal friend who, without realizing what she was doing, praised the party that Juanita organized at her house, that is, revealed that she violates the quarantine.
Others do terror journalism showing photos and figures without the necessary clarification in order to create panic, or fiction journalism as when assuring that if it were not for the quarantines, millions would die. At the moment, the so-called «COVID-19» has caused some 380,000 deaths worldwide, a figure that is consistent with the annual deaths from influenza, up to 650,000.
And the global scandal is growing with the lack of evidence that quarantines have been helpful, as Sherelle Jacobs wrote in the Daily Telegraph. In return, people working in freedom, live in peace and develop the world. Elon Musk, after defying quarantine and winning the brawl, privatizes space and can boast that he places men in Earth orbit as he has done with his SpaceX.
