Noah Rothman wrote a column entitled » The climate strike is all about indoctrination, not science.» It is a concern that this could be the beginning of a “collective hysteria”, also called “group psychosis”, and brainwashing as they demand that “comprehensive climate change education,” is to be aimed at children ages 5 through 14 because the “impressionability is high during that developmental stage.”
So as to participate in this street strike, thousands of children missed school coinciding with a girl’s speech – I avoid her name, being a vulnerable minor – at the UN headquarters. «We are on strike because science says we have only a few years to transform our energy system … and prevent the worst effects of climate change,» says the Youth Climate Strike (YCS) manifesto.
And they pretend that governments, using their monopoly of violence, impose things like the creation of state-owned banks, affordable housing, shuttering of all fossil-fuel-generating power plants and retiring the combustion engine and phasing out fossil fuels entirely by 2030. Now, why is a long-term strategy necessary if we only have «11 years» to avoid the disaster. Could it be that behind this strategy there are only economic interests?
Susan Allan Block, who has studied permaculture and belongs to an old family of farmers, notes out that the earth has warmed since the beginning, glaciers melted, dinosaurs disappeared. This climate change is not new, and it seems very arrogant to pretend that the tiny human being is capable of jeopardizing the immense, eternal and wise nature.
By the way, the decisions made by governments, says YCS, «should be linked to scientific research, including the 2018 report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) which is a «scientific» entity – or a propaganda one? – created by the UN.
The IPCC in 2001 said that milder winter temperatures would decrease the severity of snowstorms, which has not happened, and in 2007 warned that «increased water stress» would reduce crop yields, but it turns out that today yields grow exponentially.
And the «scientists» we should follow are those of the UN, international organization accused by many of corruption and being run by politicians with vested interests. The inefficiency of the UN is paradigmatic. It has not stopped any conflict and it would even be said that it has fuelled them, as currently in Yemen and Syria.
Saddam Hussein was given the management of the billionaire Oil for Food program. The right arm of the UN secretary general was the main one involved in the fraud. The UN, and UNICEF, ignored allegations of children sexual abuse committed by their «peacekeepers» in the Central African Republic. In 2015 a diplomat from Antigua and Barbuda and former president of the UN General Assembly was arrested in New York for accepting bribes from Chinese businessmen.
In short, we all want a natural and healthy world – and optimistic – and perhaps some reason has the IPCC, although many scientists contradict them; but they have no moral right to impose ideas using State police force. Even if they are ‘owners of the truth’, coercion, violence is not the way.
