Days ago, the Copa del Rey ended at the Real Club Náutico de Palma, in Mallorca, with the sea so wide that it seems infinite, making it clear that borders do not exist in nature, they are invented by politicians. On this occasion, in addition to excellent athletes competing to overcome and help their teammates, two kings participated, Felipe from Spain and Harald from Norway, but there were few guards, notoriously less than those who usually surround politicians since, no doubt , they do great harm and therefore, they are more afraid of being attacked.

Demonstrations and strikes in Hong Kong are growing, often harming ordinary citizens and international passengers and that is not right, but the bad mood of citizens is understandable. When China regains the sovereignty of this city in 1997, watching it on TV was revealing: the Chinese army entered peacefully, but literally invaded at last.

Truth is that modern states are territories where a group of politicians, elected or not, exercise a monopoly of violence, that is, they occupy with their armed forces and do not allow anyone to dare not to follow their “laws”,  that occupation that they mark with borders. Some impose fewer charges on their subjects, such as the British when they occupied Hong Kong and others much more like Beijing does, which promised to maintain the structures established by the British until 2047.

But now citizens distrust, and believe that little by little they are taking away their freedoms and therefore protest. In the opinion of the powerful pro-democratic groups in Hong Kong, among other things, Beijin tried to impose a “law of extradition” to muzzle critics and dissidents of the Chinese communist regime.

But the “capitalists” also have borders. Less than 5 miles south of the Cielo Vista shopping center, where a young man killed 20 people for racial hatred of Latinos, politicians built a wall separating Ciudad Juárez in Mexico and El Paso in Texas, two cities that naturally intermingle every day . 22,000 people cross this border every day to walk, work or go shopping, there are even between 600 and 1,000 children who cross to go to school every day.

Both cities share many things, for example, the same source of water extraction, but they have different realities. El Paso is one of the safest cities in the US, and Ciudad Juarez is the fifth most dangerous city in the world, largely due to immigrants stranded there because US politicians do not allow them to pass. Now with the collaboration of Mexicans.

Mexico is one of the countries that has been targeted by Trump’s insults to the point that several have accused him of fueling racist hatred. Alberto Priego, in El Mundo de Madrid, says that “When it seemed to forget about Islamist terrorism, the West is experiencing the rise of extreme right-wing ideology attacks… Cherkizovsky, Utoya, Christchurch, Poway, El Paso or Dayton” are some of those who they have suffered attacks from supremacists or from the extreme right.

And many of these attackers, among other things, had a characteristic, they were assiduous users of war video games where the violent “heroes” who, in many cases, defend a very confuse “homeland”, because it is no longer “The land of the parents” but that territory, with borders, militarily occupied and usufrutuated by politicians.
